Subject to the conditions stated below, the permittee, the City of Redwood City, is hereby <br />authorized to do the following: <br /> <br />Location: Within the 1O0-foot shoreline band, adjacent to Belmont Slough, at <br />the northwest corner of Marine and Bridge Parkway(s), in the <br />community of Redwood Shores, in the City of Redwood City, San <br />Mateo County. <br /> <br />Description: On a 3.5-acre site, construct, repair and maintain the following <br />improvements associated with the Redwood Shores Community <br />Library: (1) an approximately 6,657-square-foot portion of a 22,500- <br />square-foot, one story, 25-foot-high community library; (2) approxi- <br />mately 3,186 square feet of outdoor decks oriented toward Belmont <br />Slough; (3) approximately 1,415 square feet of new pathways <br />leading from the library and adjoining parking lots to the existing <br />pathway adjacent to Belmont Slough; and (4) approximately 65,441 <br />square feet of new ornamental and native landscaping. <br /> <br />B. This authority is generally pursuant to and limited by your application dated January 27, <br />2005, and filed on September 20, 2005, including its accompanying and subsequently submitted <br />exhibits and correspondence and all conditions of this permit. <br /> <br />C. Work authorized herein must commence prior to December 31, 2007, or this permit will <br />lapse and become null and void. Such work must also be diligently pursued to completion and must <br />be completed within three years of commencement, or by December 31,2010, whichever is earlier, <br />unless an extension of time is granted by amendment of the permit. <br /> <br />II.
