6.1.B. - Page 1 <br />REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />July 23, 2018 <br />SUBJECT <br />Stormwater Treatment Measures Maintenance Agreement for the site improvements at <br />1100, 1600 and 1900 Seaport Boulevard (Pacific Shores Center) <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Stormwater Treatment <br />Measures Maintenance Agreement with Google, Inc. and find that the project is <br />categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA) under CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(c) (Existing Facilities) <br />BACKGROUND <br />The project is a site improvement to reconstruct the existing pedestrian pathways <br />connecting the existing buildings and existing patio areas for buildings at 1100, 1600 <br />and 1900 Seaport Boulevard (Pacific Shores Center). The area of the improvements is <br />approximately 58,000 square feet. The site improvements also includes landscaping <br />work and is a part of the larger tenant improvement projects occurring at the Pacific <br />Shores Center properties owned by Google, Inc. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The developer's engineer completed the improvement plans compliant with the <br />Redwood City Ordinances, City Standards, and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. <br />Improvements include new onsite stormwater bio -retention system and other drainage <br />improvements to mitigate the new impervious surface area. There are no proposed <br />improvements within the public right of way. The developer anticipates completion of all <br />project -related improvements by end of 2018. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council may choose not to approve the agreement for the project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact to the City as a result of this action. <br />
