Property owners in an historic district can still modify, upgrade, re -configure their <br />buildings. They just have to preserve the outside elements that are determined to be character <br />defining features. By preserving an architectural aesthetic all of the buildings in the district <br />will likely increase in value without owners losing the flexibility to alter or upgrade their <br />properties. <br />Designating the Mt.
