CLK-Maria Vazquez
From: CLK-Pamela Aguilar
Sent: Monday, July 23, 2018 8:46 AM
To: CLK-Maria Vazquez
Subject: FW: *request that letter be read out loud during public comments sections of the city
council meeting*
From: Carson Rietveld
Sent: Sunday, July 22, 2018 11:13 PM
To: GRP -City Council <council@red woodcity.org>
Subject: *request that letter be read out loud during public comments sections of the city council meeting*
My beloved community,
Two years ago, as a long time peninsula resident and newlywed getting ready to put down roots, there was only
one city I would allow my realtor to consider, Redwood City. Redwood City must continue leading as a
community that invests in the future, not holds it'self up in the past. We must invest in what brings our
community strength through diversity. Let us be leaders in desegregation through making our cities truly
economically integrated. We need low income and middle income housing that is integrated through out our
community. Let us be a leader in green city development. A walkable and bikeable city with easy
connections to public transit, so that families and commuters alike feel safe and enjoy frequenting Redwood
City.
I urge the city council to look forward and represent the spirit of what truly makes Redwood City unique, our
desire to invest in a brighter and more connected community future for all of us.
Thank You
Carson Rietveld
