ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br /> (DES ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~ day of...k~, 2002, <br />by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California, ("City"), and DES ARCHITECTS & <br />ENGINEERS ("Consultant"). <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City Redevelopment Agency ("Agency") <br />and the City'have proposed to assist in the restoration of the exterior of the San <br />Mateo County Historic Courthouse in the City (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by separate agreement the Agency delegated, to the City, <br />authority to serve as lead agency, to enter into agreements on the Agency's <br />behalf and to expend appropriated Agency funds with regard to the Courthouse <br />Restoration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has accepted the Agency's delegated authority; and <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires professional <br />services related to the preparation of construction documents and project <br />management services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the first phase of these services will involve the preparation of <br />schematic design documents and cost estimates; and <br /> <br />F:Atty/Agr/Agr.046 1 <br />062402 <br /> <br /> <br />
