P.OOS/OO8 F-85Z Task 3 - Water Quality Monitoring Program Kennedy/~enlcs Consultants will propose specific revisions to the existing sampling and analysis plan and provide a water quality monitoring program m prevent water qualit7 degradation in the distribution system and comply with regulatory requirements after the chlor~nine conversion. Kennedy/innks Consultants will consider the monitoring parameters usable to detect nitrification. This t~k will consist of the following steps; · KevieW existing testing parameters, location of sampling stations, frequency mad reporting procedures, · Idonti~y necessary improvements related to water quality monitoring, including additional sampling stations, · Recommend a rev/seat monitoring program for the distn'budon system and stooge facilities, under conditions o£cMoramlnation, and · Estimate the cost and labor n°a:luirements associated with the revised monitoring program. The deliverable associated with Task 3 will be separate chapter in the final report that contains thc review of the current monitoring program as well as the recommended new program and the costs associated with ttfis program. Task 4 - Chloramine ¢onveraion Water Quality ~$urance Plan Kennedy/$enks Consultants will prepare a dets/led Chlorsmine Conversion Water Quslity Assursnce Plan specific for the City of l~.edwood City that will discuss wazer quality deterioration processes associated with the conversion of final d/sinfectant from chlorine to cMommJnes. The Pla~ will provide methods for identifying these processes including nitrification, reducing the potential for water quality deterioradon, and for addressing nitrification in the event that it do~ occur. The deliverable for T~k 4 will be separate chapter in the final report describing the steps necassm'y to maintain high quality water throughout the City's distn'bution system. Task 5 - Report Preparation an~ Project Meetings A final report will bc developed ~hat presents the evaluation mad results associated with Task 1 through 4. This report will be developed in a draft form and submitted to RWC for review mad comvnent.
