<br />ATTY/CHARTER AMENDMENTS/2018/2018 FINAL CHARTER AMENDMENTS <br />REV: 07-18-18 VR <br />Page 10 of 45 <br />serving one or more terms, such member may be appointed in a later appointment cycle and <br />shall be eligible to serve four consecutive terms from the date of the later appointment. Full <br />terms or partial terms served prior to January 1, 2019 shall be included in computing consecutive <br />terms. When a member completes a term without being reappointed to the succeeding term, <br />including instances in which a member is not reappointed because of the term limits set forth <br />herein, such member shall continue to serve until their successor is appointed and qualified. <br /> <br />(ef) The members of such Board shall receive no compensation. (As amended April 10, 1984, <br />certified by Secretary of State June 21, 1984.) <br /> <br />(fg) The Library Board shall establish rules for its proceedings and the authority and duties of the <br />Library Board shall be set forth by the City Council. OFFICERS AND BOARDS: <br /> <br />The administrative officers and boards shall be City Manager, City Clerk, City Engineer, Chief of <br />Police, Chief of Fire Department, Director of Finance, City Attorney and such other officers and <br />boards or commissions as may be hereafter established. <br /> <br />The City Manager and, City Attorney, and City Clerk, shall be appointed by the Council and the <br />removal of any of them shall be only on the affirmative vote of five-sevenths (5/7ths) of all <br />members of the City Council. <br /> <br />All other officers and employees shall be appointed by the cCity mManager and shall hold office <br />or position at his or her the City Manager’s pleasure. The compensation of all officers and <br />employees, shall be provided by resolution of the Council. (As amended April 9, 1968, approved <br />by Legislature April 29, 1968, Chapter 76.)
