NAME: The municipal corporation now existing and known as shall remain and "Redwood City" continue a body politic and corporate, as at present, in fact and in law, by the name of the "City of Redwood City," and by such name shall have perpetual succession. Section 2. BOUNDARIES: The boundaries of Redwood City shall continue as now established until changed as authorized by law. Section 3. POWERS: The cCity shall have all the powers heretofore claimed or exercised by the cCity, shall have all the powers granted to municipal corporations and to cities by the constitution and gGeneral lLaws of this sState together with all the implied powers necessary to carry into execution all the powers granted, and shall retain all rights, interests, powers and privileges heretofore gained by the cCity or any of its departments, boards, commissions or instrumentalities by virtue of any grant or law or by any judicial interpretation of any such grant or law. The cCity may acquire property within or without its corporate limits for any cCity purpose, and may manage, control and dispose of such property as its interests may require; and, except as prohibited by the sState constitution or restricted by this cCharter, the cCity shall and may exercise all municipal powers, functions, rights, privileges and immunities of every name and nature whatsoever. The enumeration of particular powers by this cCharter shall not be deemed to be exclusive, and in addition to the powers enumerated therein or implied thereby, or appropriate to the exercise of such powers, it is intended that the cCity shall have and may exercise all powers which, under the sState constitution, it would be competent for this cCharter to enumerate. ACQUISITION AND DISPOSAL OF PROPERTY BY CITY: Subject to any additional provisions that the City Council may enact by ordinance, the City may purchase, lease, receive, hold, and enjoy real and personal property, and control and dispose of it for the common benefit. Section 3-3/4. ACQUISITION AND DISPOSAL OF PROPERTY BY PORT: The following applies to real and personal property under the jurisdiction of the Board of Port Commissioners, and does not apply to property under the jurisdiction of the City:
