Carmel <br />Historic District <br />AGENDA ITEM: 9.A (205) <br />Meeting of the Joint City Council/Successor Agency Board/Public Financing Authority <br />Meeting on July 23, 2018. <br />Present: Council Members, Aguirre, Borgens, Gee, Howard, Masur, Seybert, and Mayor Bain <br />Hold Study Session and Provide Comments related to Neighborhood Compatibility and <br />Design Review Process for Major Additions and New Single -Family Homes and Potential Mt. <br />Carmel Historic District. <br />Vice Mayor Howard and Councilmember Masur are recused from participating in this item <br />due to a conflict of interest that their residences are located within the subject neighborhood <br />and left the dais at 9:00 p.m. <br />M/S Seybert/Gee to continue the meeting to 11:15 p.m. Motion carried 5-0-2 by voice vote. <br />(Vice Mayor Howard and Councilmember Masur were recused and not present). <br />Mayor Bain stated that a future Study Session will be scheduled that will discuss and define <br />City-wide design guidelines to ensure that homes fit the neighborhoods in which they are <br />built. Furthermore, the decision whether to designate Mt.
