0912612005 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 14670 COPy RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF ST. FRANCIS STREET (66' WIDE) IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PURSUANT TO PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA; RESERVING A PUBUC SERVICES EASEMENT (56' WIDE) WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing at Section 8300) of Division 9 of the California Streets and Highways Code, the City Council of the City of Redwood City, by Resolution No. 14657, adopted July 11, 2005, declared its intention to vacate the hereinafter desaibed 55' wide right-at-way, and WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the California Streets and Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate the herein described portion of St. Francis Street has been published and posted; and WHEREAS. a public hearing on the question of vacating said portion of St. Francis Street has been held and evidence thereon received. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Comcil of the City of Redwood City finds that the hereinafter desaibed portion of St. Francis Street (55' wide) is unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes and hereby orders said portion of SI. Francis Street vacated in the City of Redwood City. 2. The City reserves a Public Services Easement (PSE) (55' wide) over the formerly existing street. 3. The portion of 51. Francis Street to be vacated and the PSE is more fully described in Exhibit AA8 and depicted in Exhibit 8B8 hereof, which Exhibits are attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. 4.
