<br />* Income figures provided by RUD for all San Mateo County federal entitlement programs (CDBG, <br />HOME, ESG) <br />** Income figures provided by State of California RCD - You should verify the income figures in <br />use for each specific program. <br /> <br />3. Marketinq of HOME Units. The Developer shall <br />comply with the City's affirmative marketing plan for the HOME <br />Units to be provided by City. Except for existing tenants, the <br />Developer shall, to the extent permitted by applicable law, select <br />eligible tenants for the Home Units from a pool of applicants <br />residing in the incorporated limits of the City of Redwood City no <br />later than the' date on which construction will begin or the <br />earliest date unit is habitable for occupancy. The Developer shall <br />include as part of its marketing efforts: <br /> <br />(i) outreach to homeless and at-risk of being <br />homeless households transitioning through one of <br />the various homeless and self sufficiency <br />assistance programs operating in the City of <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />(ii) provide notice of vacancies or opening of <br />waiting lists to Fair Oaks Community Center, a CORE <br />Referral agency for San Mateo County Human Services <br />operation <br /> <br />The City shall be responsible for providing the Developer <br />with a pool of qualified applicants to fill the HOME Units. <br /> <br />4. Lobbyinq Prohibited. The Developer shall not use <br />HOME funds for publicity or propaganda purposes designed to support <br />or defeat legislation pending before federal, state, or local <br />government. HOME funds shall not be used by Developer to influence <br />an officer or employee of any agency, a Member of Congress, and <br />officer or employee of Congress, or an employee of a Member of <br />Congress in connection with the award of any Federal contract. <br /> <br />f. The Developer understands that the Agency may <br />request that the City of Redwood City and/or the County of San <br />Mateo to request the voters to authorize the development, <br />construction, and acquisition of low-rent housing projects in the <br />City pursuant to Article 34 of the California Constitution. In the <br />event such measure passes, the Developer will agree to an amendment <br />of the Affordability Covenants which would require the units <br />currently restricted to persons earning not more than ninety <br />percent (90%) of the Area Median Income ("AMI") to be restricted to <br />persons earning fifty percent (50%) of AMI or below. <br /> <br />32 <br /> <br />REDW\0006\DOC\001-7 <br />3/29/05 3:15 /rove <br />
