<br /> 7C <br /> Page 6 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> SEEKING AUTHORIZATION FROM CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION TO PLACE MAIN STREET HISTORIC DISTRICT <br /> SIGNS ON STATE HIGHWAYS 101, 84 (WOODSIDE ROAD) AND 82 (EL <br /> CAMINO REAL) <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency approved <br /> the implementation of the Wayfinding Sign Program for Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the purposes of the Wayfinding Sign Program is to install <br /> roadway signage directing first time visitors to Redwood City's historic district; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency to install <br /> .:J..ireen~gI1~ cfld t in~articular "Main Street Historic District" signs on State Highways <br /> Q. I ~.,.". <br /> ~~.b 1~,4 ~ods~de Roatd) and 82 (EI Camino Real); and <br /> M ctuJ "i: WHeifli..~ prior to installing said directional signs on Slale Highways <br /> permiss?J from the California Department of Transportation (CAL TRANS) i$., required; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, as a condition precedent to authorizing installation of "Main Street <br /> Historic District" signs on State highways, CAL TRANS requires that the historic district's <br /> official name be placed on the National Register of Historic Places; and <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City has been notified by the United States Department of <br /> Interior that Redwood City "Main Street Historic District" has been placed on the <br /> National Register of Historic Places. . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF <br /> THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Atty jReso./Reso.1597 <br /> 022206 1 <br /> --- ,-,.~... .-.-,,~ ",.._-,-- _n___' <br />
