6.1.J. - Page 4
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
As the lead agency, City of Redwood City determined that the Alameda De Las
Pulgas Sidewalk Improvement Project meets the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) exemption criteria as set forth in CEQA Guidelines Section 15301, ("Existing
Facilities") of the CEQA regulations. Furthermore, this project was designed
compliant with the City's Engineering Standards and accepted practices. A Notice of
Exemption has been filed with the office of San Mateo County in August 2018.
Furthermore, this project has been designed compliant with the City's Engineering
Standards and currently accepted practices.
This project does not require a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System
(NPDES) General Permit for stormwater discharges associated with construction and
land disturbance activities pursuant to Attachment A.2 of Order No. R2-2015-0049,
NPDES Permit No. CAS612008, which exempts projects to update existing lines and
facilities. However, the proposed construction will employ stormwater pollution
prevention best methods and practices.
OMAR ADINA
ASSISTANT ENGINEER I
AARON AKNIN
Assistant City Manager/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
MELISSA STEVENSON DIAZ
CITY MANAGER
ATTACHMENTS
1.
