PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK, DELIVERABLES, DEADLINE AND PAYMENT TERMS Description 6.1.E. - Page 9 Closed circuit television (CCTV) inspection of, and cleaning for that purpose, sanitary sewer and/or storm drain pipelines on an on-call, as -needed basis for various City approved projects and tasks. SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of work described herein is the minimum necessary to meet the City's objectives. The Contractor is expected to expand on the scope by incorporating their expertise and proposed method of approach. The scope of work for the project shall include the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to clean the sanitary sewer and/or storm drain pipelines, inspect manholes and provide a closed- circuit television inspection in digital format of the sanitary sewer and/or storm drain pipelines listed above. The word "clean" is defined as the removal of all accumulations including sludge, dirt, sand, rocks, grease, roots, and other solid or semisolid material in the pipe and manhole. Cleaning The Contractor shall perform a minimum of two (2) passes using the high -velocity hydraulic cleaning method. The Contractor shall clean the line until the line is ready for closed-circuit television inspection that's acceptable to City. No additional compensation will be made to the Contractor in performing three or more passes in cleaning the sewer and/or storm drain pipelines. All pipe cleaning cost method and duration shall be included in the agreed cost irrespective of the type and size of the existing sewer and or storm drain pipelines. If a video and/or the capture images in the database do not clearly show the pipe conditions due to inadequate clean-up or are of such poor quality that the Engineer is unable to evaluate the condition of the sewer and or storm drain pipelines or locate sewer service connections, the Contractor shall re -televise that section of the pipe at Contractor's expense. The Contractor shall protect the manholes to withstand forces generated by equipment, water, and air pressure. The Contractor shall clean the sewer and/or storm drain pipelines of any obstruction and debris including roots in accordance with the City's Engineering Standard Technical Specifications Section 02732, "Cleaning And Closed Circuit TV Inspection of Sanitary Sewer Pipe" and "Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Green book)", latest edition. Contractor shall use a jet/vacuum combination unit for cleaning all sewer and/or storm drain pipelines.
