6.3.C. - Page 4 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY TO RECORD REVENUE RECEIVED FROM THE MEASURE A <br />FERRY PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $450,000 AND APPROVE AN <br />APPROPRIATION AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2018-19 <br />BUDGET TO INCREASE THE BUDGET OF THE FERRY TERMINAL <br />PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $450,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />COMPLETING A FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY STUDY AND COST BENEFIT <br />ANALYSIS <br />WHEREAS the City has long advocated for the management of congestion and <br />alternative modes of transportation in Redwood City and throughout San Mateo County; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Redwood City adopted the Citywide Transportation <br />Plan which serves as the guiding document for improving transportation in the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Citywide Transportation Plan identifies Community Ferry Service <br />to Redwood City as one of the City's signature projects; and <br />WHEREAS, San Mateo County voters reauthorized and amended the Measure A <br />Program to include funding for cost-effective ferry service in the county; and <br />WHEREAS, the City requested and the San Mateo County Transportation <br />Authority, the administering agency of the Measure A program, approved $450,000 in <br />Measure A funding for the City's ferry project; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the recommendation by City Staff to record <br />as revenue the $450,000 in grant funding and appropriate $450,000 for the Redwood City <br />Ferry Terminal Project and desires to evidence approval thereof. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. That Measure A Ferry Program grant revenue in the amount of Four <br />Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000) shall be recorded to the Fiscal Year <br />2018-19 Various Transportation Grants Fund for the purpose of completing the Financial <br />Feasibility Study and Cost Benefit Analysis for Redwood City ferry terminal construction <br />and service. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />ATTY/RESO/2018/RESO.0085/CC RESO FERRY FEASIBILITY <br />REV: 09-05-18 PR <br />
