Award of Contract - Middlefield Road Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements Project Staff contact: Peter Delgado, Associate Engineer 780-7373 pdelgado@redwoodcity.org Recommendation: By motion, approve the contract documents and award the standard form construction contract (Section 00520) for the Middlefield Road Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements Project to Golden Bay Construction, Inc. of Hayward, California, for their responsive low bid of $8,062,063.50, and authorize the City Manager to increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to 10% above the original contract amount, and find that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 Existing Facilities, 15302 Replacement or Reconstruction, and 15304 Minor Alterations to Land H.
