If the Contractor encounters a utility cross bore and/or collapse pipe during the inspection, the <br />Contractor shall contact the City's Project Engineer. The Contractor shall provide a picture or <br />video of the cross bore and/or collapse pipe to the City's Project Engineer and mark the location <br />of the defect on the surface with spray paint. <br />While performing cleaning and CCTV inspection, the Contractor shall prevent contract <br />operations from causing a stoppage or overflow. In the event of a stoppage or overflow, the <br />Contractor shall immediately notify the City Public Works Department at (650-780-7464). The <br />Contractor shall remove the stoppage and contain and mitigate the overflow. Overflows shall be <br />mitigated to the City's standards including property damage overflows that shall require cleaning <br />and restoration. All costs for damages occasioned by the overflow are the responsibility of the <br />Contractor. <br />All water used in conjunction with the cleaning operations shall be metered and paid for by the <br />Contractor. Contractor shall pay an $800 deposit to Cash Collections at City Hall, 1017 <br />Middlefield Road for the construction meter. Monthly service charge will be assessed at the <br />commercial rate for a 3" meter, current rate to be verified, in addition to the actual water usage. <br />The receipt of payment shall be taken to the City's Public Works Department, 1400 Broadway, <br />Redwood City, to pick up the water meter. Prior to final inspection, return meter to City's Public <br />Works Department, who will read the meter and prepare billing for water usage. Lost or <br />damaged meters will require forfeiture of deposits plus cost of meter replacement. <br />CCTV Inspection <br />Within 24 hours of cleaning the line, Contractor shall thoroughly inspect 4" to 78" sewer and/or <br />storm drain pipelines using CCTV equipment and WinCan version 8.30.0.2090 inspection <br />software (any software change will be notified by the City and coordinated with the Contractor <br />before mobilization). The CCTV camera and monitor shall produce a minimum of 460 horizontal <br />lines of resolution. The CCTV camera shall be a pan -and -tilt with rotating head capable of <br />providing a 360 -degree view of the inside of all pipes, connections, and any pipe defects. Video <br />recording shall be done digitally in full color in order to provide the utmost quality viewing. <br />Images will be in focus and done with adequate lighting to provide a clear view of the entire <br />periphery of the line including any defects while keeping glare to a minimum. The image shall <br />not be obscured by fogging or misting conditions when the sewer line. <br />The color camera shall be operative under 100 percent humidity conditions in the sewer and/or <br />storm pipelines. The center of the camera lens shall be at or above the spring line of the sewer <br />and/or storm pipelines being televised. The camera and ancillary equipment shall not block the <br />sewage and/or storm flow at any time. In cases where it will not be possible to remove a trapped <br />camera by excavation of a sewer and/or storm pipelines, a tag line shall be attached to each end <br />of the camera to allow the camera to be pulled out from either end. If the camera gets stuck in the <br />sewer and/or storm pipeline, the Contractor shall be responsible for all costs involved in <br />extracting it, and shall extract the equipment in a timely manner in order to avoid interruption to <br />sewer and/or storm flow.
