<br />Recommendation: <br />M/S Howard/Ira to approve the recommended amendment to Section <br />18.249 C.1 of the City Code, which would delete the requirement that <br />existing structures must have been occupied within the past three years to <br />receive a credit for prior use in determining Transportation Impact Fee <br />payment. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18.249 OF ARTICLE XV TO CHAPTER 18 <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO <br />TRANSPORTATION IMPACT FEES FOR NEW DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote by those present <br />with Council Member Bain absent. <br /> <br />M/S Hartnett/Foust to introduce an amendment to the transportation impact <br />fee ordinance that allows for a refund of traffic mitigation fees paid from <br />today's date to the effective date of the ordinance previously introduced <br />and approved for those projects which would have paid the transportation <br />mitigation fee based upon the vacancy of the premises for the time period <br />stated in the current ordinance. <br /> <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote by those present <br />with Council Member Bain absent. <br /> <br />MINUTE ORDER 06-63 <br /> <br />9. MATTERS OF COUNCil INTEREST- <br /> <br />A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of <br />City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus Bulletin No.9 -2006, 10-2006 and 11-2006. Council may direct staff <br />to act on positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority <br />Focus available in City Clerk's Department.) <br /> <br />B. Council Member Aguirre - invited the City and departments able to participate in <br />the Annual KinderCaminata on April 28 at Canada College. A booth with any of the <br />City workers would be extraordinary for the 1,500 students that will be in <br />attendance. <br /> <br />C. Council Member Howard - invited the community to join the Pride & <br />Beautification in celebrating Earth Day on April 22 where the focus will be on <br />cleaning up Redwood Creek and the nearby waterways, as well as the Historic <br />Union Cemetery.
