Notification #1600 -2013- 0356 -R3 <br />Streambed Alteration Agreement <br />Page 21 of 23 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />DEFINITION OF TERMS <br />As used herein and for purposes of the Agreement <br />Exhibit A -1 <br />Debris: non - living vegetative or woody matter, trash, concrete rubble, etc. This definition <br />does not include living vegetation. <br />Emergency project: is defined in the State Fish and Game Code, section 1600. <br />Heavy equipment: any equipment used that is larger than a pick -up truck. <br />Natural channel: a stream or watercourse that has not been modified by human acts <br />such as lining the channel with cement, or creating an artificial channel for drainage or <br />flood control. A natural channel may have in it erosion control structures, culverts or <br />other minor modifications. <br />Project: a routine maintenance activity performed by Permittee during a given year. <br />Each annual activity at one location shall be construed as one project for fee purposes. <br />A project does not include minor debris removal by hand such as a shopping cart or a <br />bag of garbage. <br />Special- status species: any species identified as a candidate or sensitive species in <br />local or regional plans, policies or regulations, or listed by CDFW or the U.S. Fish and <br />Wildlife Service.
