First Amendment to Agreement for Animal Control Services <br /> Between the City of Redwood City and the County of San Mateo <br /> <br /> THIS AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT, dated for convenience July 1~ 2002, by and between the COUNTY OF <br />-- SAN MATBO, hereinafter called "COUNTY" and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, hereinafter called "CITY." <br /> <br /> RECITALS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the p~ies ent~d into an Agreement un Suly 1, 2000, whereby the CITY h~ couUmct~d with the <br /> COUNTY for the performance of ~mal control sm'vices, herein~l~r "Agre~mant;" and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the parties now wish to amend the AgI~mlant to change the amount and m~thod of payment to the <br /> COUNTY. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE AGREEMENT IS AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. Subparagraph (a) of Paragraph 5, Payments, of Section (B) of the original Ag~m~ent City's Responsibilities is <br /> hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br /> CITY shall pay to the COUNTY prior to January 1 ~ of each fiscal year, and following the receipt of an invoice <br /> from COUNTY, the CITY's parcentage share of the n~t program cost of the Animal Control Program. This net <br /> program cost shall be d~t~'mined by the COUNTY and shall be equal to the cost of the cunm~ct between the <br /> COUNTY and COUNTY CONTRACTOR. plus the cost of the COUNTY adininist~ring licansing collection and <br /> Animal Conu'ol S~'vices Progr~n, minus any program r~venue received by COUNTY or COUNTY <br /> CONTRACTOR as described in Section D, Paragraph 5. CITY's percentage share ofn~t program costs for the <br /> Fiscal Year 2002~03 shall he as described by Exhibit D, attached and incorporated by this r~fcrence. <br /> <br /> 2. Ail other terms and conditions of Ge agreement dated July 1, 2000 between the COUNTY and CITY shall ramain <br /> in full force and effect unless specifically amended herein. <br /> <br />_ 3.
