CITY will choose which option they wish to use for repayment of the above mentioned reimbursement and will comply with all conditions of each option as follows: (a)O~=ion 1: CITY may pay, in a lump sum payment, their entire share of reimbursement to COUNTY. Payment will be due on or before October 1, 2000. (b)O~tion 2: CITY may pay one- third(I/3r:) of their share of reimbursement(principle) plus respective interest to COUNTY over the three year period of this contract. Interest will be calculated on the total CITY share for Hayden/Vincent Bill Reimbursement for FY 99-00 which equals $593,439.00 The interest will be based on the Local Agency Investment Fund Rate (LAIF Rate). The LAIF Rate, as published as of July 1 of each contract year, will be used to determine the interested owed by CITY for each of the three years for which repayment may be spread over. The f~rst of three payments will be due on or before October 1, 2000. The second of three payments will be due on or before October 1, 2001. The third of three payments will be due on or before October I, 2002. 6. Defense of Dangerous Animal Determfnation~. The parties acknowledge that CITY is and will remain solely responsible for arranging and conducting hearings under its' Dangerous Animal Ordinances, including but not limited to providing hearing officers and a location for ~he hearings. Hc:~ever, the parties agree that, at CITY's option and for ius convenience, CITY may utilize COUNTY offices and/or the services of the COUNTY contract hearing officers for purposes of conducting Dangerous Animal Hearings under the provisions of CITY's Dangerous Ar. imal Ordinance.
