D-21 <br /> <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> EL CENTRO DE LIBERTAD/THE FREEDOM CENTER <br /> FISCAL YEAR 2002 / 2003 <br /> <br /> CONTRACT OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />E1 Centro de Libertad will provide an alcohol and drug education <br />prevention program to 100 youth attending the following Redwood <br />City schools: Redwood High Continuation School, the courts <br />Community School in Redwood City, and the Community School at <br />Fair Oaks Community Center. <br /> <br />80 of these youth (80%) will attend a minimum of 12 sessions, <br />thus graduating from the Program and earning a certificate of <br />completion. <br /> <br />In post-program survey, 76 of the 80 youth (95%) graduating from <br />the Program will demonstrate increased awareness of: a) the <br />genetic and environmental cause of addiction; b) their own risk <br />factors; and c) community resources that can help them address <br />their problems. <br /> <br />Additionally, 64 youth (80%) who graduate from the program will <br />write a short paragraph, draw a picture, etc. describing the impact <br />of the program on their lives. <br /> <br /> <br />
