<br />08/23/02 <br /> <br />(:~~v <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 144h1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BIKE PATH IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT GRANT MASTER AGREEMENT AND RELATED <br />DOCUMENTS; AND DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS <br />THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE CITY TO <br />EXECUTE ALL AGREEMENTS AND AMENDMENTS RELATED <br />TO THE PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENT 001-M FOR <br />FEDERAL AID PROJECT NO. 04-5029 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is eligible to receive Federal and/or <br />State funding through a Transportation Enhancement Activity (TEA) Grant for <br />bicycle and pedestrian facilities, through the California Department of <br />Transportation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 10, 2{)01, the City Council approved the design <br />concept of eight foot wide multi-use pathways on Redwood Shores and Bridge <br />Parkways; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 15, 2002, the City Council approved the contract <br />documents, and authorized advertisements for bids for the 2001-2002 Bike Path <br />Improvement Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the plans and specifications associated with the TEA Grant <br />have been approved by the State, and expenditures of the Grant funds have <br />been authorized in the amount of $195,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Master Agreement and related need to be executed with <br />the California Department of Transportation before such TEA funds can be <br />claimed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City wishes to delegate authorization to <br />execute t~ese agreements and any amendments thereto to the City Manager. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> <br />1. The City Council of Redwood City hereby approves the Master <br />Agreement, Program Supplement No. 001-M and related documents with the <br />Department of Transportation and delegates to City Manager authorization to <br />execute all Master Agreements, Program Supplemental Agreements, Fund <br />Exchange Agreements, and Fund Transfer Agreements related to this project as <br />well as any amendments thereto. <br /> <br />* * * <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD cln <br />S¡'yi2 1.1.
