6.C. - Page 5 of 7 <br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />Consultant will provide services for the City's economic development program for a <br />period of three to four months. Direction of consultant's work will be provided by the <br />City Manager, and/or Assistant City Manager/Community Development Director <br />and/or Deputy City Manager. Consultant's services will primarily focus on supporting <br />and strengthening Downtown businesses and activities and assisting with review of <br />proposed and existing industrial/office development projects, affordable housing <br />opportunities and other tasks as assigned. <br />Key Tasks and Responsibilities: <br />• Review and inventory available data, resources, and policies pertinent to subject <br />areas (Downtown, office/industrial, and affordable housing, community benefit, etc.) <br />• Attract and retain businesses that generate significant sales and use tax such as <br />auto dealers, large format retail, auto dealerships, manufacturing and other <br />businesses other new businesses (family entertainment) that are the right fit for City <br />• Attend meetings with other City department staff, economic development and <br />business/community groups including: <br />o Downtown Business Group <br />o Redwood City Chamber of Commerce <br />o RCIA <br />o Joint Venture/Silicon Valley Economic Development Alliance <br />• Explore the possibilities of auto mall digital signage on Highway 101 frontage <br />• Assist with implementation of the recently approved cannabis ordinance by <br />overseeing the new Cannabis Business Permit Program for new cannabis delivery <br />centers and nurseries <br />ATTY/DOCS-AGREEMENTS/2018/AMENDMENTS/AMEND NO. 1 LESLIE PARKS <br />REV: 10-30-18 VR <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />390 <br />
