7.B. - Page 18 of 23 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18-14 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVE A HISTORIC PRESERVATION AGREEMENT FOR THE <br />RESIDENCE AT 221 STANDISH STREET <br />WHEREAS, on June 29, 2018, Laura Stewart (Property Owner/Applicant) <br />applied for a Mills Act Contract (Project) at 221 Standish Street (APN: 052-254-070) in <br />Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, the subject property is a designated Redwood City Landmark and a <br />contributing structure to the Mezesville Historic District; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 9, 2018, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee <br />(HRAC) held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable <br />requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Municipal <br />Code to consider the Project, and recommended that a Historic Preservation Agreement <br />(Mills Act Contract) be approved by a vote of 5-0; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 29, 2018, a public hearing notice of the Planning <br />Commission hearing was published in the San Mateo Daily Journal and sent to the <br />Property Owner; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 18, 2018, the Planning Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing in accordable with all applicable requirements of the State <br />Planning and Zoning Law, the Redwood City Municipal Code, and the Zoning <br />Ordinance to consider the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, said property and applicant do qualify for a Historic Preservation <br />Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Redwood City and the residents <br />therein, that a preservation agreement be approved to assist in the restoration and <br />preservation of the subject property. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1.
