6.A. - Page 1 of 13
/<;i-ik
Redwood
CitylCallifornia
Founded 1807
*A&l
DATE: November 5, 2018
SUBJECT
STAFF REPORT
To the Honorable Mayor and City Council
From the City Manager
Amendment to Stormwater Treatment Measures Maintenance Agreement for site improvements at
1305 EI Camino Real
RECOMMENDATION
By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the First Amendment to Stormwater
Treatment Measures Maintenance Agreement for 1305 EI Camino Real.
STRATEGIC INITIATIVE
Public Safety
BACKGROUND
On March 14, 2016, the City Council approved the Stormwater Treatment Measures Maintenance
Agreement related to for the construction of a seven -story 137 -unit apartment development at 1305 EI
Camino Real. The underlying project was approved by the Planning Commission on May 19, 2015. The
Encroachment Permit, approved and issued by the City Engineer, required the developer to make on-
site improvements to detain and treat stormwater run-off and discharge.
During the construction of the development the on-site stormwater treatment system was modified to
address unforeseen conditions discovered during the construction activities. The developer requested
approval of the modifications to the on-site drainage system that was previously approved. The
attached stormwater treatment measures maintenance agreement reflects the modifications.
ANALYSIS
The on-site stormwater treatment system is described in detail in the Stormwater Treatment Measures
Maintenance Agreement. Now that the system has been modified the Stormwater Treatment Measures
Maintenance Agreement would need to be amended to accurately describe the on-site stormwater
treatment system that will be maintained and inspected by the property owner after the development
project has been completed. The amendment will modify the original agreement to include the accurate
name of the filter manufacturer and the revised location for the detention vault and discharge point.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact to the City as a result of this action.
7
