The Association may appoint a member to meet <br />with the Personnel Officer and Fire Chief to plan, evaluate and recommend training <br />programs. <br />14.16 Licenses and Certificates <br />Employees who are required by State or Federal agencies, or by job description, to be <br />licensed or certificated shall be reimbursed for the fees for such license or certificate, <br />including other DMV licenses above Class "C' required by the Department of Motor <br />Vehicles. <br />14.17 Vacations <br />14.17.1 All COA unit members shall be entitled to the accrual of vacation leave, and use <br />of accrued vacation leave with Fire Chief approval, from the commencement of <br />their employment with the City. <br />14.17.2 The time during the calendar year at which a COA unit member shall take <br />vacation shall be determined by the Fire Chief with due regard to the wishes of <br />the unit member and with particular regard to the needs of the service. <br />Preference of vacation date shall be given to employees according to their length <br />of service in as reasonable manner as possible. <br />14.17.3 Full-time employees assigned to a forty (40) hour per week work schedule shall <br />be entitled to annual vacation leave as follows: <br />During the first four (4) years of City service, eEmployees shall accrue vacation <br />at a rate (3.077 hours per pay period) that yields eighty (80) hours of vacation at <br />the end of each year of service from the first yeaF through the fr, „+h <br />After completion of the fourth year of City service and thereafter through the <br />end of theninth (9th) year of City service, employees shall accrue vacation at a <br />rate (4.615 hours per pay period) that yields one hundred twenty (120) hours of <br />vacation at the end of each year of servic . <br />After completion of the ninth(91h) of City service and thereafter through the <br />end_ of the fourteenth (14th) year of City service, employees shall accrue <br />vacation at a rate (6.154 hours per pay period) that yields one hundred sixty <br />(160) hours of vacation mat the end of each year thFeugh the fe FteeRth ,soar <br />Af sepise. <br />After completion of the fourteenth1{ L"Lyear of City service and thereafter <br />through the end of the nineteenth (19th) year of City service, employees shall <br />accrue vacation at a rate (6.923 hours per pay period) that yields one hundred <br />eighty (180) hours of vacation mat the end of each year thr^„nh the RIR8teE?Rth <br />year of serviiGe <br />' <br />2! <br />95 <br />
