R 1 -Apparently the city council members are forgetting the are already regs in place giving
neighbors input into construction plans. The city has actual problems to address. A home
owner adding on her own home is not a problem. Would they rather have more families
leave the city in search of better homes?
+4 VDiminish the character' of single -story homes? Laughable. Very few neighborhoods of
RWC have any character at all. New, nice, large homes do a lot to increase property tax
revenue and bring up all property prices.Stop disguising a general dislike of gentrification
with a neighborhood's 'character' and allow people the use of their property as they see fit,
within reasonable regulations.This isn't reasonable.
+c, 1 - The Bay Area needs more housing, not more housing restrictions.
+4 1 Too many silly regulationsll
+4 1 unless there is a historic preservation argument, you're hurting the potential sale value
for existing owners. Potential buyers wouldn't shell out much money for a house that has
significant limitations on it.
+4 1 Perhaps people haven't noticed, but the Bay Area has a bit of a housing shortage.lt's
insane to me that people would try to limit two-story in -fill housing. It's probably the same
people that will get upset about commute traffic when they get their way and people have
to commute longer distances because housing density is too Iow.Don't schools teach
reasoning anymore?
+4 11 want Home values to increase, which benefits us all. Plus the new construction homes
are generally very attractive vs run down old properties.
+s 1 There are no promises for the future. You can't freeze time.
+3 1- everyone deserves to make enough space for themselves and their families on their
own land
+3 1 We need more housing, we need multifamily housing, and we do not need restrictions
on housing that would mean we don't get more housing.
