The "Better Living for Seniors" <br />Program will provide social, recreational, self-help and instructional programming <br />for low-income seniors who live at Gasa de Redwood. These low or no cost <br />activities range from bingo to dances to exercise classes to trips, as well as the <br />Senior Companion Program. Funding Requested: $5,000. Funding <br />Recommended: $5,000. <br />Center for the Independence of the Disabled - Housina Advocacy. Through <br />their Housing Advocate, CID advocate for people with disabilities in Redwood <br />City to obtain subsidized housing. Funding Requested: $5,000. Funding <br />Recommended: $5,000. <br />Child Care Coordinatina Council of San Mateo County (4Cs}-Quality <br />ImprovementJAccreditation Support Proiect. The 4Cs Quality <br />Improvement/Accreditation Support Project is to increase the number of Title 22 <br />childcare programs eligible to participate in Preschool for All. The mission of <br />Preschool for All is to achieve voluntary preschool programs that prepare <br />children for kindergarten and success in life. Funding Requested: $40,000. <br />Funding Recommended: $0. <br />CORA 24-Hour Crisis Hotline and Support Services. The 24 Hour Crisis <br />Hotline and Support Services will provide 24-hour, year-round emergency <br />assistance to victims of domestic violence, as well as those in danger of <br />becoming victims of violence. Funding Requested: $20,000. Funding <br />Recommended: $12,000. <br />EI Centro de Libertad-SMART Proaram (Students Makina a Responsible <br />Transition), The SMART Program is an in-school prevention education program <br />offered to youth attending either the County's court and community schools or <br />alternative programs for high-risk youth. Funding Requested: $15,000. Funding <br />Recommended: $5,000. <br />Family Service Aaency Senior Dinina and Supportive Services, Fair Oaks <br />Interaenerational Center. FSAs program at the Fair Oaks Intergenerational <br />Senior Center will provide basic services to promote the physical, nutritional, <br />emotional, social, and financial well being of seniors in the community. Services <br />include dining, transportation, health and wellness workshops, case <br />management, and a variety of other activities.
