The names and results of the persons voted for at said election for members of the <br />City Council are: <br />NAME <br />VOTES RECEIVED <br />Giselle Hale <br />12,723 votes or 18.24% <br />Diane Howard <br />11,904 votes or 17.07% <br />Diana Reddy <br />11,319 votes or 16.23% <br />Rick Hunter <br />10,977 votes or 15.74% <br />Christina Umhofer <br />9,425 votes or 13.51 % <br />Jason Galisatus <br />9,028 votes or 12.94% <br />Ernie Schmidt <br />4,370 votes or 6.27% <br />5. The City Council does declare and determine that: <br />Giselle Hale is elected as a member of the City Council for a term of four years. <br />Diane Howard is elected as a member of the City Council for a term of four years. <br />Diana Reddy is elected as a member of the City Council for a term of four years. <br />6. The City Clerk shall deliver to each person elected a certification of election signed <br />by her and duly authenticated; the City Clerk shall also administer to the persons <br />elected the oath of office as prescribed in the State Constitution of the State of <br />California and shall have each of them subscribe to it and file it in the office of the <br />City Clerk. Each person elections shall then be inducted into the respective office <br />to which they have been elected. <br />7. Measure RR (Essential Services Protection) appeared on the ballot as follows: <br />Shall the ordinance to fund essential city services such as protecting rapid 911 <br />emergency response times; preserving the number of on -duty <br />firefighters/paramedics/police officers; continuing after-school/recreation <br />programs for children; and maintaining local library hours/programs by establishing <br />a 0.5% sales tax, providing approximately $8,000,000 annually until repealed by <br />voters, with exemptions for essential purchases like food/medicine, annual audits <br />and all funds staying in Redwood City, be adopted? <br />It was determined and declared that Measure RR did receive a majority of the votes <br />cast with 19,207 votes cast in favor and 9,210 votes cast in opposition and <br />therefore was approved by the voters of Redwood City. <br />8. Measure DD (Cannabis Business Tax) appeared on the ballot as follows: <br />Shall the measure funding police patrols, after-school recreation programs and <br />other general city services by imposing a cannabis business tax on all cannabis <br />(marijuana) businesses at an annual rate which shall not exceed 10% of gross <br />receipts of each business, which is expected to generate an estimated $210,000 <br />annually and will be levied until repealed by the voters, requiring annual audits and <br />with all funds staying in Redwood City, be adopted? <br />22 <br />
