6.1. Declaration of Homeless Shelter Crisis as required in order to seek State of <br />California Homeless Emergency Aid Program Funds <br />Recommendation: <br />Adopt Resolution to declare a homeless shelter crisis in connection with the <br />County of San Mateo application to the Homeless Emergency Aid Program <br />(HEAP). <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />6.J. Acceptance of the Hazard Mitigation Grant Award from the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the California Governor's Office <br />of Emergency Services (Cal OES) to the City of Redwood City for seismic <br />retrofits of the Peninsula 2 Water Tank which will enhance water supply for <br />drinking water and fire suppression. <br />Recommendation: <br />Adopt a resolution accepting the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Award of <br />$718,945.50 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the <br />California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES); and authorizing <br />the City Manager to execute the grant agreement and provide all necessary <br />grant assurance documentation. <br />Adopt a resolution approving an appropriation amendment to Fiscal Year 2018- <br />2019 Water Fund Capital Projects budget to increase revenues by $1,218,945.50 <br />and to increase expenditures by $1,218,945.50 for the grant acceptance and <br />project implementation, respectively; and transferring $500,000.00 of fund <br />reserves from the Water Operation Fund to the Water Fund Capital Projects <br />budget. <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />6.K.
