04 Status of Silicon Valley Nonprofit Space & Facilities <br />Highlights <br />A slightly higher percentage of organizations that serve low- <br />income communities, communities of color, and those in Sar <br />Clara County expressed concern about the future. <br />44% OT small organizations wltn annual Duagets OT LSV VVV - <br />$500.000 have had to relocate 57% of the organizations report that <br />cost was a factor in their reason for moving. 79% of organizations that <br />relocated were able to stay close to the community they serve, however <br />40% reported an increase in their rent or mortgage after moving. <br />Among organizations with annual budgets of $250,000 - $500,000, <br />half anticipate relocation. 52% of the organizations consider cost as a <br />reason for possible relocation, and 28% consider it likely that they will <br />have to relocate outside of their current city or county. Nearly 2/3 of the f ' <br />organizations that serve IQw-income and communities of color think a <br />move would lead to a decrease in the quality of their space. v <br />29% of organizations already share space with other nonprofits, with <br />anotird expressing interest in co- ocating in the future.
