12/10/2018 <br />RESOLUTION NO.15724 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN <br />TO ESTABLISH TITLE CHANGES AND/OR AMENDMENTS TO <br />CLASSIFICATIONS OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ANALYST 1/II <br />AND SENIOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ANALYST, AND TO <br />UPDATE THE SALARY RANGES FOR SPECIFIED EMPLOYEES <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested that existing classifications be <br />modified to meet the current and future operational needs for the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the classification specifications as described in Exhibits A-1 through <br />A-4 were prepared by Human Resources staff in consultation with department <br />management to ensure the foreseeable needs of the organization were met; and <br />WHEREAS, Human Resources staff met and conferred with Redwood City <br />Management Employees Association (RCMEA), and reached agreement on the <br />recommended classification description changes as listed in Exhibits A-1 through A-4; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, on December 3, 2018, the City Council approved salary adjustments <br />of 5% for the City Attorney and 5.86% for the City Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested a 3% cost of living adjustment to the <br />City Clerk classification in order to align with all employee organizations which have <br />completed or are currently in the negotiations process; and <br />WHEREAS, effective January 1, 2019, the City Council adopted an Ordinance to <br />increase minimum wage for employees that work within the City of Redwood City to <br />$13.50 per hour, and the wage ranges for certain hourly and temporary positions must be <br />adjusted accordingly. <br />ATTY/RESO.0113/CC RESO AMENDING CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN RESO.
