MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> September 9, 2002 <br /> MO. 02-257 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: September 10, 2002 <br /> <br />Attention: City Attorney <br /> Public Works Dept. <br /> <br />SUBJECT Motion to authorize the purchase of Automatic Remote <br /> Meter Reading Equipment from Invensys (formerly <br /> "Sensus") Metering System <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on September 9, 2002. <br /> <br />Present: Council Member Ruskin, Jordan, Howard, Ira, Pierce, Hartnett, and <br />Mayor Claire <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br />M/S Ruskin/Hartnett Motion to authorize the purchase of Automatic Remote <br />Meter Reading Equipment from Invensys (formerly "Sensus") Metering System of <br />Placentia, California in the not to exceed amount of $228,485; and waive bidding <br />requirements of the City of Redwood City Code, Chapter 2, Section 2.76 by <br />affirmative vote of at least five members of the City Council on the grounds that <br />strict compliance with the bidding requirements would not serve the public <br />interest; <br /> <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote by all those present. <br /> <br /> Patricia S.
