MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST - <br />A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of <br />City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus Bulletin No. 13-2006, 14-2006 and 15-2006. Council may direct <br />staff to act on positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus available in City Clerk's Department.) <br />6. Oral Communications (continued) <br />John Edmonds thanked Council for the $2,500 given to the Historic Union <br />Cemetery Association stating that all the remaining broken monuments will be <br />repaired and that completes 15 years of work that includes 20 Eagle Scout <br />successful programs in the cemetery. This includes re-establishment of the soldier <br />in the cemetery. On Saturday, the Pride and Beautification Committee volunteers <br />came to the cemetery as part of the clean-up process that the City of Redwood <br />City does each year and were amongst 70 people who came and assisted. <br />B.
