E6 5 As a Small Business Owner in RWC my employees in the North Bay and East Bay
continually ask for a Ferry Service option. It would reduce congestion, travel time and be an
overall more pleasant experience for commuters. Just wish it could happen sooner.
+e 5. An all of the above strategy is the only way to accommodate the transportation needs of
Redwood City and the Bay Area as a whole.
+4 5 provided that sailing and kayaking can still be done safely. There have been HUGE issues
with the RWC ferry and safety for boaters!!!! There should be lessons learned from the
problems so far.
+a 5 why not add this service ? If people found it viable it would take up some of the strain on
freeways and Caltrain. How hard would it be to propose a time and fare schedule and see who
bites. Caltrain and Ferry service drop off in very different places.
+3 5 - I think ferry service would be a fantastic and much-needed addition to Redwood City.
However, I hope it's not pursued in lieu of more practical solutions to congestion like
dedicated bus lanes on EI Camino/101, Caltrain electrification, or extending BART down the
peninsula
+z 5. A ferry would be a great way to get to the city. I think there are some other steps
needed to make this a reality, including making the port of rwc feel more connected to
downtown. I think improved walking/bike paths from downtown to the port would help,
along with a dedicated shuttle that runs to and from the port
9 5. Hello!! Shuttle during commute hours
R 4: sounds like just another option the current opposition sounds weak. But are there other
drawbacks? Environmental concerns?
R 5 it's key for emergencies of course and also because highways and Caltrain are at capacity
+t 4- to ease use of car!
+7 5..1 rather see a ferry terminal than more corporate housing. And if it decongests traffic, all
the better.
