Regulation of Wireless Facilities in the Public Rights -of -Way This report recommends adoption of an urgency ordinance to provide standards and regulations relating to the permitting, placement, design, construction, and maintenance of wireless facilities within the City's public rights-of-way (ROW)(305) Ordinance 2453 and Reso 15725 Recommendation: 1) Waive Reading and Adopt an Urgency Ordinance to Add Article VIII, "Wireless Facilities in Public Rights -of -Way," to Chapter 29 of the Municipal Code; 2) Waive First Reading and Introduce an Ordinance to Add Article VIII, "Wireless Facilities in Public Rights -of -Way," to Chapter 29 of the Municipal Code; 3) Adopt a Resolution Establishing Aesthetic Standards for Wireless Facilities in the Public Rights -of -Way; and 4) Direct staff and the Architectural Advisory Board to review the effect of the Aesthetic Standards for Wireless Facilities over the course of 2019 and to return to the City Council in 2020 with any recommended modifications as may be appropriate.
