6.G. - Page 63 of 238 <br />Enterprise. Any remaining costs, after adjusting for the Wastewater Enterprise, will be reduced <br />by the amount of revenue received for laboratory analyses of any type performed for agencies, <br />businesses and/or individuals other than the Water and Hetch Hetchy Enterprises. <br />2. Allocation: Direct Retail expenses will be assigned to the Retail <br />Customers. Regional expenses will be allocated between Retail Customers and Wholesale <br />Customers on the basis of Proportional Annual Use. Direct Wholesale expenses will be <br />assigned to the Wholesale Customers. (As of the Effective Date there are no Direct Wholesale <br />expenses in the Treatment category.) <br />D. Transmission and Distribution <br />Description: This category consists of the cost of labor, supervision and <br />engineering; materials and supplies; and other expenses incurred in the operation and <br />maintenance of transmission and distribution pipelines, appurtenances, meters (other than <br />those expenses payable by individual Wholesale Customers pursuant to Section 5.10.C.3), <br />distribution reservoirs storing treated water, craft shops and auto shops servicing vehicles used <br />for operation and maintenance of the Regional Water System rather than for Direct Retail <br />facilities, and miscellaneous facilities related to the transmission and distribution of water. <br />2. Allocation: Direct Retail Transmission and Distribution expenses will be <br />assigned to the Retail Customers. Regional Transmission and Distribution expenses will be <br />allocated between Retail and Wholesale Customers on the basis of Proportional Annual Use. <br />Expenses incurred for the operation and maintenance of three terminal reservoirs, i.e., Sunset <br />Reservoir (North and South Basins), University Mound Reservoir (North and South Basins), and <br />Merced Manor Reservoir, as well as transmission pipelines delivering water to them, are <br />classified as Regional expenses notwithstanding the location of the reservoirs within San <br />Francisco. Direct Wholesale expenses will be assigned to the Wholesale Customers. (As of <br />the Effective Date the only Direct Wholesale expenses in the Transmission and Distribution <br />category are associated with the Palo Alto pipeline.) <br />E. Customer Services <br />Description: This category consists of labor; materials and supplies; and <br />other expenses incurred for meter reading, customer record keeping, and billing and collection <br />for the Water Enterprise. <br />45 <br />15118728.1 <br />394 <br />
