If a particular calibration <br />instrument is not rated for accuracy by the AWWA, its accuracy will be determined by reference <br />to its manufacturer's representations as to accuracy. <br />6. Calibration Reports <br />Within fourteen (14) working days after the beginning of each quarter, the metering <br />consultant shall submit a written progress report of the work performed during the previous <br />quarter. Each quarterly report will describe the results of the meter calibrations and any other <br />tasks performed. The report will also include comments regarding any observations of abnormal <br />conditions and any recommendations regarding these meters and their related equipment. <br />The reports must include complete descriptions and status of meters and related <br />equipment, dates and times of service, all calibration specifics, pipeline dimensions, range of <br />flow rates and totalized volumes, before and after error analysis and accuracy levels achieved, <br />testing equipment used, and the name(s) of the person(s) that performed the work. <br />When appropriate and necessary, the metering consultant shall provide recommendations <br />for improving the accuracy and reliability of the equipment and/or the methods of data <br />collection. If, in the opinion of the metering consultant, the condition of a meter or its associated <br />metering equipment is found to be defective, damaged, or otherwise in need of immediate repair <br />or replacement, the metering consultant shall: 1) promptly notify the appropriate SFPUC <br />personnel of the problem and recommend a solution to the problem so that the SFPUC can <br />determine how toaddress it and, 2) include the problem description in its quarterly report. <br />21 <br />March 11, 2009 <br />497 <br />
