EXH I BIT A —ATTACH M ENT 1: Transportation Analysis
SCOPE OF WORK
AECOM (Consultant) will complete the following tasks as part of this scope of work. It is
anticipated that Consultant will use Fehr & Peers for this transportation analysis, although
Consultant shall be ultimately responsible for this work.
Task 1— Study Area
One of the first tasks it to establish the limits of the study area and identify the
study intersections, freeway segments, and freeway ramps based on the project's
trip generation and trip assignment. Consultant will present the trip generation
estimates based on the Project Description and Site Plan. Consultant will use
MainStreet, a proprietary trip generation tool, to estimate potential reductions in
vehicle trips that may be appropriate based on the local mix of land uses, demographics
of the neighborhood, and proximity to transit. Consultant will compare these results
to recent trip generation rates developed as part of RWCmoves and will summarize
total vehicle trips associated with the Project.
Consultant will assign vehicle trips to the roadway network based on existing travel
patterns in the area. The results will be used to refine the study intersections, freeway
segments, and freeway ramps based on the amount of added traffic. Consultant will
prepare a memorandum with the vehicle trip generation estimates and trip
assignments, and submit it to Redwood City staff. Consultant will confirm the study
locations with Redwood City Staff prior to collecting data in Task 2.
The study locations used to develop the fee are
Intersections:
1. Veterans Boulevard / Whipple Avenue
2. Veterans Boulevard/Jefferson Avenue
3. Veterans Boulevard/Main Street
4. Veterans Boulevard/Chestnut Street
ATTY/AGR/2018.270/AECOM PSA
REV: 12-07-18 PR
