What is an EIR? <br />An EIR provides analysis of the potential environmental impacts <br />associated with the development of the proposed project. <br />An EIR is an informational document. Its purpose is to provide the <br />public and decision makers with detailed analysis of the likely <br />environmental effects of a proposed project, ways in which <br />significant effects might be minimized, and alternatives to the <br />proposed project. <br />An EIR is not a project entitlement or project approval. <br />
