<br />" <br /> <br />Godbe Communications <br /> <br />EXHIBIT <br /> <br />-A <br /> <br /> <br />SITUATION OVERVIEW <br /> <br />The City of Redwood City faces some unique challenges in promoting <br />the new parking plan, but Godbe Communications is armed with the <br />skills and experience to face these challenges and overcome them. <br />The combined skills of Godbe Communications and Embarcadero <br />Publishing (Connie Jo Cotton) bring the best solution to Redwood <br />City. We have an inherent understanding of the city and the <br />specific challenges in promoting a new parking plan to residents. <br /> <br />Our recommendation will focus on the development of an overall <br />campaign that will promote the pricing, locations and overall <br />benefits offered by the new parking plan. This recommendation <br />will include direct mail, a brochure, signage, on-site promotions <br />in Redwood City as well as strategically selected opportunities in <br />surrounding cities that may frequent the Redwood City downtown <br />area. <br /> <br />The marketing plan outlined below represents a framework for <br />achieving these goals. While we want to be cost effective we are <br />focusing on marketing to specific audiences that will <br />strategically help us achieve our goals, like current residents <br />and specific audiences in surrounding cities. <br /> <br />The tactics we will leverage will include, but are not limited to <br />direct mail, newspaper inserts, advertising, strategic <br />distribution of brochures at areas of high traffic.
