The motion <br />passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br /> <br />Council continued discussion on concerns. <br /> <br />MIS Hartnett/Foust that Council requests the HHCC make recommendations to <br />Council with respect to the initiatives suggested and that once the Council <br />receives, accepts or modifies those recommendations that the City be a part of <br />the Countywide dialogue with respect to the implementation of those initiatives. <br />The motion passed by a majority roll call vote with Council Member Aguirre <br />abstaining. MINUTE ORDER 06-110 <br /> <br />9. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST - <br /> <br />A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of <br />City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus Bulletin No. 18-2006 and 19-2006. Council may direct staff to act <br />on positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus <br />available in City Clerk's Department.) <br /> <br />C. Council Priorities - Main Grouping and Specific Priority Information <br /> <br />Mayor Pierce explained that the information transmitted to Council would be <br />posted to the City website if there were no objections. <br /> <br />Questions from Council ensued on groupings under each topic and discussion <br />occurred on how to best inform the community on the process Council went <br />through regarding the priorities. <br /> <br />Council consensus was for Mayor Pierce to work with the Public Communications <br />Manager to develop an introductory paragraph that explains the discussion <br />Council had in developing the priorities that Council believes reflect the <br />community's values. <br /> <br />D. Update on Bair Island Restoration Effort <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Foust gave an update on the topic as requested by Council, <br />highlighting 6 points.
