6.C. Award of Contract - Whipple and Veterans Overlay Project <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve the contract documents and award the standard form <br />construction contract for the Whipple and Veterans Overlay Project to G. <br />Bortolotto & Co., Inc. of San Carlos, California for their responsive and <br />responsible low base bid of $711,111.11; authorize the City Manager to execute <br />the contract and to increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to 10% of the <br />amount awarded, not to exceed $782,222.22 and find that the project is <br />exempt and meets California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) exemption <br />criteria as set forth in Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) and Section 15302 <br />(Replacement or Reconstruction) of the CEQA Guidelines. <br />CEQA: <br />Categorically Exempt - Class 1. Existing Facilities and Class 2. Replacement or <br />Reconstruction <br />6.13. Award — US -101 Pedestrian Undercrossing Project <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract <br />documents and award the standard form contract for the US -101 Pedestrian <br />Undercrossing Project to Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. of Santa Clara for their <br />responsive and responsible low total bid of $3,903,165, and authorize the City <br />Manager to increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to 10% of the <br />amount awarded. <br />CEQA: <br />Consistent with Previously -Approved Mitigated Negative Declaration <br />6.E. Agreement with the Redwood City Police Activities League for Youth Services <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement <br />between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City Police Activities <br />League for the provision of Youth Services. <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />
