23 <br />8.A. - Page 38 of 77 <br />Technical Advisory Committee <br />ATechnical Advisory Committee (TAC) was <br />assembled at the beginning of the grant timeline <br />to guide the process and provide feedback on <br />key deliverables for both case study cities. Project <br />partners on the TAC were included from both the <br />San Mateo County region and the Santa Clara <br />County region such that each city could learn from <br />each other throughout the parallel processes.The <br />following agencies were represented on the TAC: <br />• Caltrans <br />• SamTrans <br />• Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority <br />• San Mateo County Public Health <br />• County of Santa Clara Public Health <br />• City/County Association of Governments of <br />San Mateo County <br />• The City of Redwood City <br />• The City of Palo Alto <br />The Technical Advisory Committee convened four <br />times throughout the project for collaboration on <br />the process and input on relevant deliverables. <br />Meeting 1: Kick -Off Meeting, June 2017 <br />(Purpose: Confirm goals, data collection needs, <br />and review project scope and schedule) <br />Meeting 2: Performance Measures and Virtual <br />Walk Audits, December 2017 (Purpose: Share <br />corridor summary graphics, review initial draft <br />performance measures, and identify specific <br />issues and concerns on the study corridor via <br />Google aerials and street view) <br />Meeting 3: Revised Performance Measure <br />Matrix, Outreach Debrief and Initial Draft <br />Concepts, May 2018 (Purpose: Share and <br />review summary of feedback from community <br />outreach, resulting initial design concepts, and <br />revised performance measure matrix) <br />Meeting 4: Draft Report Review, November <br />2018 (Purpose: Review and discuss comments <br />on draft report) <br />Complete Streets Advisory Committee <br />Draft design concepts were shared and reviewed <br />with the Redwood City Complete Streets Advisory <br />Committee on August 14th 2018, prior to the final <br />round of outreach to evaluate design options at <br />intersections and bus stops. Feedback was focused <br />on choosing a preferred layout for accommodating <br />protected bike lanes at bus stops and the preferred <br />application of safety treatments at intersections <br />to address right turn conflicts along the protected <br />bikeway. The design feedback was used to refine <br />the design concepts before sharing with the public <br />for feedback during the final stage of outreach <br />Caltrans Design Review <br />As a state-owned facility, improvements on EI <br />Camino will require final approval from Caltrans. <br />The design concepts in the next section were <br />reviewed by Caltrans for consistency with the <br />agency's goals and general design guidelines. <br />A design review meeting was held on October <br />5th 2018 with key reviewers from the agency to <br />discuss the process for implementation, including <br />focus areas for future study. More detail on specific <br />areas of study is included in the Next Steps section. <br />187 <br />
