0 R I G I Id A L _ <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13945 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING TABULATION OF VOTES UPON THE QUESTION <br />OF APPROVAL OF ASSESSMENTS; FINDING THAT NO MAJORITY <br />PROTEST HAS BEEN MADE TO THE LEVY OF ASSESSMENTS; <br />CONFIRMING CITY MANAGER'S AND ENGINEER'S REPORTS AND <br />ORDERING SPECIAL BENEFIT ASSESSMENT TO BE LEVIED AND <br />COLLECTED — SEAPORT CENTER MAINTENANCE DISTRICT <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby finds and determines that: <br />(a) Pursuant to Resolution No. 9859 entitled, "A Resolution Ordering the Formation of <br />Seaport Center Maintenance District and Ordering That the Alternative Method For the Levy of <br />Benefit Assessments Be Made Applicable to said Maintenance District," adopted April 22, 1985, <br />Seaport Center Maintenance District (the "District ") was established pursuant to the provisions <br />of Ordinance No. 1895, adopted April 16, 1984, and codified as Article XII (commencing with § <br />18.80) of Chapter 18 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, the Redwood City Maintenance <br />District Ordinance (the "Ordinance "). <br />(b) Pursuant to Resolution No. 13904 entitled, "Resolution of Intention to Order the <br />Levy of Benefit Assessments for Fiscal Year 2000 -2001 using the Alternative Method, <br />Establishing a 5 -Year Budget for Fiscal Years 2000 -2001 Through 2004 -2005, Establishing a <br />Maximum Cumulative Assessment For Such 5 -Year Period and a Maximum Annual <br />Assessment For Such 5 -Year Period, Approving City Manager's and Engineer's Reports, <br />Ratifying Formation of District, Calling Property Owners' Election on Said Budgets and <br />Assessments, and Providing for Notice of Election and Hearing Thereon Seaport Centre <br />Maintenance District" adopted by the City of Redwood City Council on May 22, 2000, this <br />Council approved the City Manager's and Engineer's Reports required to be prepared pursuant <br />7110100 <br />Reso-926 <br />f /sh /sh/RC /Council <br />FXS:rg <br />06/22/00 <br />
