Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve, and authorize City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 <br />to Agreement for Professional Services with West Coast Code Consultants, Inc. <br />in the amount of $550,000 (for a total of $1,550,000) for building inspection and <br />plan review services. <br />6.D. Award of Contract — 2018 Hoover Field Synthetic Turf Replacement Project <br />(304) MO 19-005 <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve, and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract <br />documents and award the standard form contract 00520 for the 2018 Hoover <br />Field Synthetic Turf Replacement Project to Fieldturf USA, Inc. of Montreal, <br />Quebec, Canada for their responsive and responsible combined base bid and <br />add alternate bid #1 and #2 of $1,628,889.02, waive certain minor irregularities <br />as set forth in the staff report, and authorize the City Manager to increase the <br />contract amount, if necessary, up to 10% of the amount awarded. <br />6.E. Final Acceptance— National Guard Armory Building Parking Lot Improvements <br />Project (304) MO 19-006 <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, accept the National Guard Armory Building Parking Lot <br />Improvements Project and authorize the release of bonds and retention <br />according to City procedures. <br />6.F. Implementation of new district transaction and use tax (local sales tax) <br />approved by Redwood City voters on November 6, 2018 (305) Ord 2454 <br />Res 15729 <br />Recommendation: <br />1. Waive second reading and adopt an ordinance of the City of Ord 2454 <br />Redwood City adding to the Redwood City Municipal Code Chapter 32, Article XI <br />establishing a local transaction and use tax for general city purposes; and <br />2. Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the Res 15729 <br />necessary agreements with the California Department of Tax and Fee <br />Administration in order to prepare for and administer the City's Transactions <br />and Use Tax Ordinance; and <br />3. Adopt a resolution authorizing the examination of Transactions Res 15730 <br />and Use Tax Records; and <br />4. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute MO 19-007 <br />the Agreement for Preparation to Administer and Operate City's Transactions <br />and Use Tax Ordinance with the California Department of Tax and Fee <br />Administration; and <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
