He stated that he participated in the parade and assisted the Kiwanis Club selling Pepsi on the street. He reflected on the parade somewhat fading away over the years realizing that PCA does this as a non-profit for Redwood City. He referred to an article in the San Mateo County Times stating that there will be no fireworks this year. He further stated that allowing this decision is not acceptable to the majority of the residents. Maria Diaz Vivian thanked the City Managers office for the PACT program. She further thanked the Parks and Recreation Department and Civic Cultural Commission, acknowledging that a young relative of hers, Dominique, won second place overall achievement in arts. Dominique is a Northstar Academy student and Ms. Vivian stated that we should note the little steps that little members in the community make. 6.1 Section - Motions - A.
