On Mon, Mar 11, 2019 at 2:17 PM Shannon Guzzetta <princesskes&vahoo.com> wrote:
Hello,
I feel it's important to reiterate that as a Redwood Shores resident, I believe that Redwood Shores should be considered
ONE distinct district -- not combined with other neighborhoods in parts of the city in the upcoming election
transitions. The boundaries, history and community aspects specific to Redwood Shores should have appropriate
representation on the city council in the future.
I would love to know if council members think the boundaries make sense, physically? Have city council members or city
staff members navigated the actual proposals to see if they physically make sense? How much input has come in from
each of the proposed areas? I know that Redwood Shores community members have advocated for ONE district, but
am still reviewing proposals that do not reflect this and hearing conversations indicating confusion on this. Please
ensure that you are respecting the wishes of our community and the intent and guidelines of this project. The census
data should be used rather than the individual residency of current council members.
Also, can you tell me whether notices are posted somewhere else besides the website and sent out by email? The
ordinance states that maps have been available 7 days prior to each reading, but the email notice only goes out 3-4 days
before a meeting, and sometimes new map proposals have been generated after the initial readings. You may want to
invest in the time and more outreach on this important endeavor.
Thank you for your consideration.
Shannon Guzzetta
650-922-8163
Begin forwarded message:
From: City of Redwood City <m rlists .redwoodcitg>
Date: March 7, 2019 at 5:24:25 PM PST
To: princesskesgyahoo.com
Subject: City Council Closed and Regular Meeting Agendas - March 11, 2019
Reply -To: myrlistsna,redwoodcity.org
Having trouble viewing this email?
