The City experiences normal attrition when executive
management positions become vacant. When these vacancies occur, the Human Resources Division
requires executive recruiting capacity for advertising, marketing, outreach, and screening of qualified
candidates. These recruitment services are ideal for a professional executive recruiter. Currently, an
informal bidding process is completed each time a vacancy occurs, which is usually one or two times a
year. To increase staff efficiency, staff conducted a Request for Qualifications process for a multi-year
agreement with an executive recruitment firm, reducing the administrative burden associated with
repeatedly obtaining bids for recurring professional services.
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
7
